In this middle section of the Camino Brabant, you leave the city behind and step into silence. Following the Dommel River and through the Kempen region, you walk past chapels, abbeys, and heathlands. You’ll find peace in the forests and a sense of connection in small villages. The nature is rich, the atmosphere intimate. This part of the journey invites reflection, as you make your way toward the vibrancy of Tilburg. Bon Camino!

The second part of the Camino Brabant begins in modern Eindhoven – a city known for design, industry, and innovation. If time allows, visit one of the many museums or stroll through Strijp-S, the creative hotspot in Brainport Eindhoven. Perhaps enjoy a drink at the city brewery before your walking journey begins tomorrow?
Your walk starts at St. Catherine’s Church – a Gothic gem in the heart of Eindhoven. From there, you head through the green Dommelpark to the idyllic Genneper Watermill, a historic spot that once inspired Vincent van Gogh. Following the meandering Dommel River, you walk a surprisingly peaceful, nature-rich path and cross a charming little bridge onto the Vlinderpad ("Butterfly Path") – a flower-filled trail buzzing with life. The Grote Vlasroot heath and fen area offers tranquility and wide-open views. Along the way, you pass the atmospheric Onze Lieve Vrouw Chapel in Heers, before finishing at the stately St. Cecilia’s Church in the old heart of Veldhoven.
You begin your day through characteristic Brabant countryside, soon reaching the Onze Lieve Vrouw in 't Zand Chapel – a serene place for quiet reflection. Over peaceful country roads and sandy paths, you make your way to Knegsel, home to another beautifully located Maria chapel. In Vessem, the hospitable Pelgrimshoeve offers a warm welcome, and the nearby chapel is a striking landmark along the route. The Camino continues through the silent Buikheide, a lovely nature reserve of forests, fens, and heath. Your stage ends in Wintelre at the impressive St. Willibrordus Church, a striking centerpiece of the village.
Today’s beautiful route begins at the Maria chapel in Wintelre. You pass picturesque Brabant farmhouses and cross the Oirschotse heath. Oirschot, a perfect coffee stop, offers sights like the Nazareth Franciscan Monastery and the grand St. Peter’s Basilica. You follow the winding Beerze stream, with its many fish ladders, and reach the Spoordonk Watermill, where the day chapel makes for a peaceful break. You then walk through the Kampina nature reserve – a stunning landscape of wetlands, heather, and meandering streams. The stage ends at the St. Joannes Church on De Lind in Oisterwijk.
Leaving Oisterwijk, you first visit the beautiful Maria chapel in the nearby St. Joseph’s Church. The Oisterwijkse Vennen (forest lakes) offer a delightful dose of nature before you reach the Abbey of Our Lady of Koningshoeven in Moergestel – home of the famous La Trappe Trappist beer. After some rest and reflection on the quiet Kerkeindse heath, you follow the canal and pass through the Piushaven harbor, gradually entering the urban atmosphere of Tilburg. A calm walk brings you to the final destination: the impressive Heuvelse Church – a fitting conclusion to this route.
After a good breakfast, the second leg of your Camino Brabant comes to an end.
